Bio-Diversity Plan: thanks to funding from Mayo County Council, PCADA has commissioned Dr Karina Dingerkus from Balla to develop an outline survey and action plan for the area: this will inform all future developments and give them a solid basis in sustainability. PCADA is will shortly apply for further and larger grants: the intention is that actions under this plan could address challenges such Ash dieback disease, by offering residents and farmers new disease-resistant Ash seedlings. School and community initiatives on bio-diversity are being planned.”
